The fashion industry produces a staggering 92 million tons of textile waste annually, with China and the US leading this statistic. To date less than 1% of Recycled Polyester is from Textile Waste. De-Growth is essential as is alternative low impact fibers but reducing our dependence on virgin raw materials is key in reducing land use and de-carbonising the Apparel and Textile Industry.
